Payroll · Benefits · Rights · Papeles

The peso figure, the rule behind it, and what to bring to the office.

Sahod, benepisyo, at papeles sa isang lugar.

Gabay means guide. It tells you whether your payslip is right, exactly what to bring to a government office so you do not have to go back a second time, and what you are entitled to that nobody told you about.

Three jobs

Is my payslip right?

Enter what your payslip says beside what the law gives. Get a line-by-line difference for SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, withholding tax and net pay — with the common innocent explanations for each gap, so you can ask HR a precise question instead of a suspicious one.

What do I bring?

Twelve government transactions with a tickable checklist that saves as you gather documents over days. Plus the section nobody publishes: why people get turned away — the laminated birth certificate, the missing parental advice, the barangay clearance for the wrong address.

What am I owed?

Six statutory leaves, the senior and PWD discount rules including the VAT treatment retail gets wrong, contract red flags, PhilHealth benefits, and an OFW recruiter check. Every entitlement names the law it comes from.

Why it is different

Free calculators are everywhere. None of them show their work.

Every result in Gabay renders as an itemised ledger with the rule cited beside each line. An HR officer can defend the number. An employee can challenge a wrong deduction and point at the schedule it came from.

No bare numbers anywhere in the app. If a figure appears without a rule next to it, that is a bug.

  • Eight payroll calculators, all four BIR pay frequencies
  • Base amounts transcribed from the published BIR table, never derived
  • Every statutory figure lives in one file with a source and a verified date
  • Long-press any peso figure to copy it; share any ledger as formatted text

What lands in the account

What is inside

Contributions & net pay

Full payslip ledger down to take-home, plus the employer's true cost. Monthly, semi-monthly, weekly and daily — each on its own published BIR table.

Payslip checker

The calculator inverted. Every field optional, so you can check one deduction without filling in the rest.

Holiday, overtime & night pay

All six day types, with the overtime factor and the 10% night differential applied on the right base.

13th month pay

Total basic earned ÷ 12, pro-rated, with the ₱90,000 tax-exempt ceiling.

Separation & final pay

By ground for separation, with the six-month rounding rule and the one-month statutory floor.

Retirement pay

Shows where the 22.5 days actually comes from: 15 + 5 days leave + 2.5 days of 13th month.

Job offer preview

Take-home from an offered salary, annualised — and two offers side by side, because a higher gross does not always win.

2026 holiday calendar

Twelve regular, eight special non-working, one special working. Tap a date to prefill the premium pay calculator.

Papeles

PSA, NBI, passport, PhilSys, driver's licence, TIN, police clearance, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, business permit, marriage licence.

Karapatan

Leave entitlements, minimum wage checker, contract red flags, discount entitlements, PhilHealth benefits, OFW agency check.

Privacy, in plain words

This app stores everything on your phone and sends nothing to a server.

There is no account, no login, no analytics and no tracking. Gabay never asks for your name, your email, your number or your salary. Everything you type stays on the device.

The whole dataset compiles into the app, so it works with no connection — which is usually exactly when you need it, standing in a government queue with one bar of signal. Nothing in the app shows a loading spinner, because nothing is ever fetched.

What it will not do. It will not tell you whether you have a case, predict an outcome, or characterise an employer's conduct. It names the statute and points you to where to ask. It carries no list of recruitment agencies, because a fabricated “licensed” result could cost someone their placement fee. It has no chatbot, because a model that can invent a contribution figure destroys the one thing this app is for.

The web build carries the launch while the store submissions are in review. It is the same codebase and the same figures.

Installing the APK. Android will warn you before installing an app from outside the Play Store, and ask you to allow installs from your browser. That warning is normal for a direct download — but only ever accept it for a file you fetched from this page. Once Gabay is on Play, use that instead: it updates itself.
